♥ Saturday, April 24, 2010

Sorry... The reason why I had not been writing for such a long long time is because I have a whole chunk of homework load and many many dance practices. But... hooray! We got GOLD WITH HONOURS!!! Anyway, let's come straight to the point... Monday is my COMPOSITION!!! So nervous!!! Anyway, gotta go!!!

♥ Saturday, March 20, 2010

Hip! Hip! Hooray! Great cheers that EXAMS are over. On the other side, not so happy. Later got dance practice from 1 to 4.30 p.m. Why why why??? So much dance practice! Errr... B.t.w the dance practices, never ever ends punctually!!! I said NEVER!!! Anyway, so sad, the day after tomorrow is school! So scared to go back as my results for CA1 will be out! So going to flunk it! Oh my god! LOOK at the time! Gotta go and change for dance practice! Urgh! This school holiday is no holiday!

♥ Sunday, February 28, 2010

I have dance and CA1 all at one go, so tiring! And not to forget homeworks. Main Point: the "s".  Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday have dance. Then, CA1 coming the week after next week! My Science tuition teach different topis from school, so at the end is like doing extra... Wonder whether my other friends is also like me! But I just hope that everything I'm doing would pay off! :) Err...Actually I just hope that I will get very good results for every test I have..Diao... But, once my SYF is all over, I do not ever need to go for dance practice! PSLE just seem so near when my principle talks about! He wouls say that we have less than 6 months till our PSLE... Hopefully I can get 250+ for PSLE. To go to Cedar Girls' Secondary School. I'd Heard that their school requires the pupils to have a laptop if I'm not wrong. Too bad it is a "sports" school. Don't have Direct School Admisssion(DSA) Gotta go study before I get an earful from my mother. SCARY!!!
Please People! Can I have your ATTENTION!!! I will be away for TWO TO THREE WEEKS until my EXAMINATION is over! Thank You!

♥ Sunday, January 10, 2010

So sad... Almost everyday got things to do. It is always either tuition or dance. Hate my life. Today is my first weekend and it sucks. Got tuition, homework, tuition homework and many other homework from my mum. Just because I am primary 6, they say that my computer time will cut, TV time also cut. When can this misery end??? So much expectation from my parents! They expect me to make it to get a least 240+. So stress! Almost finish my tuition homework and I'm free. Actually I am not free yet still have to do my mum's homework. Just hope sh will give me a break! Man! Tomorrow school starts again! So sian... at least I have the right to be not disturbed by my brother. As he is sooo annoying! Peace and quiet at last. Okay gotta go!

♥ Friday, January 1, 2010

Hello 2010 and bye bye 2009! May all my friends have good luck in 2010! On channel 8, there were so many celebrities... But on channel 5, so little! Don't know why Dai Yang Tian there... Weird... My idol is 60% Jeanette Aw and 40% Bai Wei Xui. I wish all my friends a blessed new year!

Taiwan and HK Trip, Part 2

Sixth Day...

At Jianfushan Fancy World, we took 'Fairy Land Swing', 'Twirling Magnetic Field', 'Bumpy Bee' and 'Invertor'.  We went hilarious each time when the invertor turned up-side down, that is our head pointed toward the ground. Too bad, the boys did not have the courage to join us.. LOL.

'The Fairy Land Swing' and the 'Bumble Bee' were boring... Actually I wanted to sit the 'Crazy Coaster' but my niece coudn't reach the height to take the coaster and besides we were running late. Earlier, I told my mum that no matter what I would take the thrilling coaster. Even if no one wants to sit with me.
After lunch, we set out to Sun Moon Lake. First, we visited Wen Wu Temple before we boarded a leisure yacht to cruise Sun Moon Lake.

At night, we went to Fengjia Night Market. Some of us ate at Macdonald and some tried out local food at nearby eatry as we were kind of tired of dinning at night market. RY and me bought a long necklace (NT$50 = S$2.20) giraffe at the night market.

Seventh Day ...

Today's iternary is to visit "Window on the World" and "Doraemon World". Inside "Window on the World", you can find many miniature replicas of famous buildings around the world. Besides, there are indoor and outdoor rides to keep us occupy. The rides are kiddy so no problem for the weak heart. We did not have the time to visit another attraction inside the park - the "Doraemon World". The itinerary for today is really a disappointment because there is no way you can visit "Doraemon World" as it open at 10:30am and we have to leave by 11am.

Here is a consolation - picture taken at the entrance of 'Window on the World'

Next, we went to Taipei 101. We did not go up to the Observatory floor as ticket is not included. We took some pictures outside the shopping mall.

Then we rushed to a restaurant named Five Cents Driftwood House for lunch. The exterior and interior of this restaurant is pretty cool. You see massive driftwood, clay and stone decoration inside the restaurant. Huge and one-of-a kind dinning table and tableware. This is definitely the best meal so far.

Exterior of the restaurant

Inside the restaurant

After lunch, we went to Martyr's Shrine to see the guide exchange ceremony. Then to 'Pi Xiu Art and Craft Centre'. The Masters in the centre told us our personality based on our chinese name and birthday. Strange.. what they said for some of them were accurate.

p.s 'Pin Xiu' is a chinese mythical figure. It has a dragon head, lion body and legs which can fly. It is said to be able to protect it's master and acumulate wealth for the master.
The next stop is the largest night market - Shilin Night Market. We, girls with 1 adult, stayed in the hotel. The rest took MRT to the night market.

Eighth Day ...

After breakfast, we had a last minute shopping at the MRT basement before taking bullet train to the airport. There was some anxiousness at the departure hall as Uncle Teddy Bear's luggage was unattended after we alighted. Luckily, his luggage was found before we boarded the plane to our next destination - HongKong.

We reached HK in the evening. After checked in Prudential Hotel, we went to a nearby Chinese Restaurant for dinner. The food was quite good.

Tonight, we had a comfy room.

Ninth Day ...

This morning, we sampled localized western breakfast. The pineapple bun was yummy.

Then we went to the "The Peak" by MTR and then bus. The view along the hill to the peak is stunning. It was a pretty cold and windy morning, we could not stop but keep 'huff' and 'puff' so as to see more 'white cloud' emit from our lip.

There is a wax museum inside the Peak Tower. We did not buy the museum ticket and instead we took picture with Bruce Lee wax figure that displayed outside the museum.

After enough shopping, we took a tram to get down. The tram was going down at about 40 degrees?

We took some more photo at the "Times Square", a shopping mall,  before we go for our lunch.

After dinner, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry terminal and then Avenue of Stars. The night was cooling and the scene was excellent.

Final Day ...

We had dim-sum breakfast this morning. After breakfast, we went back to hotel to play while adults went for last minute shopping.

Soon... we were home-sweet-home. Er... Not so sweet. 50-50.

Taiwan and HK Trip, Part 1

After 8 days of Taiwan and 2 days of Hong Kong, I'm so tired... Here's a brief details on my trip. Ready, Get set, Go!

First Day...

We went to airport to meet up with my cousin and their children and then our tour guide - Uncle Terry.  P.S. My niece is 10 years old(2009) and my nephew is 12 years old(2009). He told us to call him Uncle Teddy Bear! Diao! You guess what ?  I was given a kid meal on board. You see, I may not look like a kid but they gave me the kids meal. Oh man, the meal was horrible !!! .

After landing, we were brought to Keelung Night Market to have our dinner and shopping. Oh yah, there is another local tour guide. He is Lan Tian, which means blue sky. On the way to the night market, Uncle Blue Sky said that we had one hour to shop and eat. But one really pro aunty said that it was not enough and asked for another half an hour more! I was damn tired and had to put up for another half an hour more. What a bad day to start with... Hotel, WORST!

Second Day...

We had to wake up at 7.30am so that we can set out at 8.30am to Jiu Fen Village. Jiu Fen Village is an old town at a hill. You find steep steps, winding streets and lots of shops along the street and stunning Pacific Ocean view. The village is named as 'Jiu Fen' due to 9 households were living there long time ago. These 9 families took turn to go down hill to shop for groceries for all the others. As the shopkeepers always have to prepare 9 portions of groceries, they named that village as "Jiu fen", which means 9 portions...

We bought some souvenirs. We didn't try out the famous food stall. Instead we had fishball soup as early lunch. Taste... Er... so so only! Then we proceed to a seaside village to view one old temple. Nothing much there. After that, we took a train to Hualien.

At dusk, we reached Hualien. Uncle Blue Sky brought us to a beach to play firecrackers. You can find all kinds of firecrakcers from the vendor at the beach.  Each time, we shouted 'Hua!' (which mean "to gain prosperity" in Hokkien) when our fire rockets shot up. Everybody went crazy.  Last but not least, all of us wrote our wishes on a Sky Lantern before released it to the sky. May all our wishes come true.

We checked in "Blue Sea Blue Sky Coast Hotel"... Hmm.. this hotel is much better than yesterday

Third Day...

Today, we visited Taroko Gorge National Park. Beautiful and spectacular scenery. You can find out more from the album in my facebook.

On the way, we visited one marble factory. We snapped more photos with those Chinese Zodiac statues displayed outside the retail shop.

We had a toilet break at one of the floral farm. We kept snapping more photo with rows and rows of colourful flowers and scarecrows as the backdrop of our photo. Daddy was kind enough to buy me a scoop of ice-cream. Yummy...

Along the way, we saw some destruction as result of the recent flood happened on the eve of Father's Day. (Father's Day is 8 of Aug in Taiwan).

We checked into one of the spa hotel. The room.... er... worst than 1st night.

Fourth Day...

We travelled all the way to a  film site to view the lead actor house called "Aga House". Waste time.

We took a ferry to Chijin Island. Tried out chou dou fu at the Seafood Stree. It is really stinky.Actually I did not try out the chou dou fu but the smell is enough to kill me.

We also tried out other local snacks, like BBQ squid and deep fried cod fillet

At night, we visited Liuhe Night Market at Kaoshiung. We sampled the  famous papaya milk from one of the famous stall at the night market. Er.. I can't really tell the difference.

As Liuhe Night Market offers food choices rather than shopping options, Uncle Sky Blue suggested to take MRT to another night market which offers more shopping options, after dinner.

We boarded the train at the Formosa Boulverd Station and alighted at the Central Park Station. We snapped a lot of pictures. Inside the 1st station, there is beautiful stained glass art displayed at the dome. Many of us were enchanted by the impressive artworks. For me, not really...

2nd station has a beautiful entrance decorated with artificial sunflowers and long escalators leading to the Park outside. Oh yes and true ... the other market is a better night market for shopper. I bought a pair of sneaker which costs only NT$150 (which is about S$6.80).

We checked in Urban 33 Hotel at Kashoshiung.. Finally, this is a hotel that meet our expectation.. Nice ambience.. The breakfast buffet in the next morning was quite enjoyable too.

Fifth Day...

We were at Fo Guang Shan, literally Budda's light mountain. Inside, there is one temple with a huge bell and stick sitting at the tower. By striking three times, you will be blessed with wealth, good health and wisdom. My mother then asked me to 'Bang' the bell as loud as I can, I picked up the stick and struck three times.

Finally, we came to the much awaited iternary - Dakeng Recreational Farm. All children were jolly the moment they see chicken running at the entrance. We bought packets of food from a vending machine and started to feed the chickens. We tried out flying fox, rope bridge and viewed the sunset. After dinner, we had karaoke and DIY taiwanese mochi rice cake session.

Roosters in the farm started to crow at 2am. Luckily, I slept like a log.

Morning was chilling. You did not realise it was foggy until we snapped the picture. Can you see this picture is foggy, right ?
We fed the chicken in the farm merrily after breakfast again... The chicks were extremely cute...

On the first day we had to take the midnight flight. We had to reached the airport by 9.30p.m. After I bade my parents goodbye, I boarded the aeroploane. In the aeroplane I kept playing and watching the entertainment that was provided on the plane. After a while, I started feeling tired. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fall asleep.NOT even a second.
After that dreadful day, we proceed on to our Brisbane City Tour. Sorry! I have not upload the pictures! Our bus driver was called Dave. We called him Uncle Dave. Oh I forgot! Not only we Singaporeans went to Brisbane, the China students from Suzhou Primary School also went as this trip was part of the School Immersion Programme, called Heart Beats Down Under 2. Wierd name right? After that I can't remember anything that happened then.
On the third day, we performed at the famous surfers paradise shopping centre. I don't quite remember. After that we went to DreamWorld! I enjoyed best was the Cyclone. It is a roller coaster which had the loops. Sorry I got to go and tidy up my things before I get scolding!

♥ Sunday, September 20, 2009

Sorry, I have not been posting for a long time. The reason is, drum roll please! EXAM! Initially, I was very excited to attend my niece full month celebration party at Marina Mandarin Hotel. In Chinese culture, a baby's first month birthday calls for celebration. Proud daddy and mummy introduce their latest addition to friends and relatives by holding a red egg party.

The party was held at AquaMarine at the level 4 of the hotel. The restaurant has a water theme decoration. Hence, you find lot of things in shade of blue which is one of my favourite colour. Food selection ??? There are spread of salad, sushi, dim-sum, local delights, dessert, ice-cream, fresh fruit, delectable pastries and cakes, etc.. I especially enjoyed the "Mua-Ji" which is soft and it melted in your mouth easily. My daddy wanted me to share with my brother. But both of us insisted to have individual serving. You know you have to pay $2 from the Night-Market. It's free and eat all you want NOW.

Sadly, after the meal, I felt really really bored. Let me tell you, it was super bored. I ate and ate until I was so stuffed! I could barely finish 1 small slice of cake! Since I was terribly bored and full, I decided to do some homework at the lounge just outside the restaurant. As the lounge is located at the atrium of the hotel, you can find warm and gentle sunlight coming into the lounge through the glass skylight. It was quite an enjoyable experience doing homework there. Not noticing that time passes really fast, a moment later I was done with it! I then took out my Ipod and started checking whether there is any Internet connection. Okay before I say what happens next, there is a bad news and good news. which one should I say first??? Never mind. I will start with the good first. The good news is, there was Internet connection, but sadly it was really low.

I had to stay at the restaurant for so LONG because my aunt was late and my grandmother wanted to chat with her for a while LONGER! Do you think is fair?? Absolutely not! Free Emoticons Never mind, I decided to compensate myself with scoops of ice-cream though I am still having cough. Hee.. Hee.

I was exhausted! Luckily my mother suggested to go shopping in the meantime! I was overjoyed. In fact, I was over the moon!Yeepee!! Anyway, you know what I mean right? I was just exhausted. okay? G2G. My brother is chasing me to let him use the computer. Can't he just wait??
